Apple Pie
Crust
2 c. almonds
1t. sea salt
2c. pitted dates
Syrup
1/2c. pitted dates
1 orange, peeled and seeded
splash of water as needed
Filling
5c. apples, peeled, seeded and thinly sliced (5-6 apples)
1c. raisins (optional)
2T. ground cinnamon
To make crust, pulse almonds and salt in food processor until nuts are in small pieces. Slowly add dates in small batches to form dough. Press dough into a pie pan, tart pan or muffin tins for individual servings.
Blend syrup ingredients together and add to filling mixture. Spoon filling into pie crust.
